What we store on your device, why we store it, and how to switch it off.
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device so it can remember things between visits. Some are set by us, some by the tools we use to understand how the site performs.
Three things, and nothing else. Keeping you signed in to the client portal, remembering whether you chose the light or dark theme, and measuring how the site is used so we can improve it.
The client portal sets a session cookie named vsess when you sign in. It is signed, HttpOnly, expires after thirty days, and exists only to keep you logged in. Without it the portal cannot work, so it cannot be turned off. We also store your light or dark theme choice locally in your browser, which never leaves your device.
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to see which pages get read, where people arrive from, and where they get stuck. Clarity also records anonymised session replays and heatmaps. These tell us how the site is used in aggregate. We do not use them to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.
We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies on this site. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you will be asked before anything is set.
Some pages embed services that may set their own cookies when you interact with them, including our scheduling provider on the contact page and Google Fonts. Their cookies are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add on. Blocking cookies will not break the public site, but it will stop the client portal from keeping you signed in.
If we add or remove a cookie, we update this page and change the date below. Anything material gets a notice on the site as well.
